Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is giving a major boost to its Business Class offering, as it announces new lounges in multiple locations across Europe.
The company says it has partnered with ‘established lounge operators’ and is rapidly expanding access to high-quality lounges at key destinations.
This is said to all be part of SAS’ long-term strategy to strengthen its premium offering. “This is a comprehensive upgrade of our Business Class offer, with lounge access as a key part of the experience,” says Theres Briger, Head of Onground Product at SAS.
“By partnering with established lounge operators, we can quickly give our customers access to a much broader network at important destinations across Europe and Scandinavia. The goal is to offer around 35 additional lounges at year-round destinations, and we already have agreements in place in cities such as Bergen, Helsinki, Billund, Stavanger and Aalborg.”
Where will Scandinavian Airlines’ new lounges open?
All of the airports where SAS travelers will be getting lounge access are: Bergen, Stavanger, Helsinki, Aalborg, Malaga, Nice, Alicante, Palma, Manchester, Gran Canaria, Barcelona, Tallinn, Billund, Gdansk, Vilnius, Keflavik, Milan (Linate), Faro, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Madrid, Bologna, Prague, and Wroclaw.
The company says that additional locations will be added throughout the autumn, with the first partner lounges to open from October 1, 2025.
“Work is already underway to secure access at destinations such as Nice, Malaga, Palma, Lisbon, Venice, Florence, Naples, Malta, Madrid, Milan Linate, Manchester, Edinburgh, Prague, Krakow and Keflavik,” the press release reads.
“Our ambition is to have as much as possible in place by October 1, while recognizing this is a dynamic process where new agreements will be finalized step by step,” Briger continues.
“This means some destinations are already ready, while others will follow throughout the autumn. We will keep customers continuously informed about which lounges are available, ensuring they can plan their journey with ease and receive the experience they expect.”
