Twin Lotus Resort and spa in Koh Lanta, Thailand. Can see the infinity pool, sunbeds around it and a building in the back.

After a couple of weeks bouncing from place to place in Thailand, arriving at the Twin Lotus Resort and Spa in Ko Lanta for a week-long trip felt like pure serenity.

This four-star hotel is adults only and is situated on a three kilometer stretch of Klong Dao beach.

We visited after a few days exploring the Phi Phi Islands, so came in via a ferry to Saladan Pier. Although, I know some people traveled from Krabi airport which is roughly a 1.5 hours drive.

There were a number of tuk tuk drivers waiting near the pier, so we got in one of those for the 10 minute journey.

Our Room

Upon check-in, we were greeted by friendly employees and were whisked away to our room (Double Room) via a golf cart. Speaking of, our room was spotless and a decent size for spending numerous days there.

For those looking to splash the cash a little more, the rooms which came with their own pool looked lovely.

Resort and Location

As for the rest of the resort, the infinity pool directly overlooks the beach and despite being there during peak season we always found two sunbeds together.

Also, even though it was a beach-front location, the hotel is located at the northern end of the island, meaning the stretch of beach always remained very very quiet. It can feel a little secluded, but there are taxis that can take you wherever you wish and it makes for a perfect relaxing trip. The hotel puts on a free shuttle bus service to the nearby Saladan Market too.

Even walking around the resort felt very peaceful as it wa

Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Twin Lotus Resort and Spa – it’s a highlight of my most recent Thailand trip.

For the remote workers – The WiFi during our stay was strong and stable, with the balcony in our room being my chosen area to catch up on some work. I did spot a few people working on laptops near the pool too.

Where to eat in Koh Lanta: Close to Twin Lotus Resort and Spa

We had breakfast during our stay at Twin Lotus Resort and Spa which had many options with plenty of food.

After receiving a discount voucher for the restaurant, we did try this out one night too and while the team working there was lovely we preferred other restaurants on the island.

Veedvew Bar and Restaurant

This beach restaurant became a quick favorite during our stay, with it serving amazing food and smoothies. The seating upstairs is great if going for dinner, with it offering a birds-eye view of the beach ahead and the bottom floor.

Despite it being a popular spot during our visits, a table was always found and we were served quickly too. We ended up visiting most nights during our stay which isn’t something we often do!

For people staying at Twin Lotus Resort and Spa, this restaurant is a short walk up the beach – maybe five minutes at the most and you’ll spot it by its arched exterior.

Chef Chalong Restaurant

Chef Chalong Restaurant in Koh Lanta is located almost directly opposite the entrance to the resort, it’s just on the nearby corner making it very convenient for those staying at the hotel.

The food here was consistently great and was a place we heard a few people recommend. The host was kind and provided information about any of the dishes we were curious about.
