An all-new 98-night around the world adventure is set to sail in January 2027 from the Fred Olsen Cruise Line.

The guests will be embarking on Borealis which features 702 suites and cabins, with the voyage offering numerous opportunities around the world.

The company shared the news through a press release on April 9 which shared that there will be a four-day stay in Hawaii, along with visits to five Japanese ports within the trip.

Other highlights are reported to include visits to Pearl Harbor, Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, and the chance to potentially see the ‘Big Five’ on a safari in South Africa. Whilst on the 98-day excursion, the cruise ship will transit through the Panama Canal too.

The official set sail date is January 21, 2027 and the prices start from £11,499 per person.

Where does the 98-night world cruise visit?

The head of product innovation at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, Martin Lister, said: “This is a truly special voyage of discovery and one that we have had great fun in curating, designed especially to showcase iconic landmarks, diverse cultures and natural wonders across some world-renowned cities and wonderful hidden gems.

“An undoubted highlight will be the extended call into Japan, at a time of year when there will be fewer crowds and the chance to witness the beauty of the late plum blossom season. 

“With five ports of call, guests explore many ancient castles and temples, take in breathtaking views of Mount Fuji, ride the bullet train in Osaka and join us for a maiden call into Shimizu.

“Later, a four-day call to Hawaii will allow ample time to explore the archipelago’s volcanic landscapes, pristine beaches and lush rainforests, embrace the spirit of Aloha at a traditional Luau and sample delicious local cuisine.”

What will be included on the 98-night world cruise by Fred Olsen Cruise Line?

Anyone who decides to book onto the offering will have full board dining which includes house beers, wines, spirits, and draught soft drinks with lunch and dinner.

Entertainment and enrichment activities are also listed as being included, as well as shuttle buses when the port is more than one mile from the ship, guided social strolls in selected ports, fitness classes, and crew gratuities and port fees and taxes.

The cruise will begin in Southampton, England and will return there at the end. Other destinations are Lisbon, Funchal, Bridgetown, Honolulu, Singapore, and many more.
